Awards & Literature

  • Ratings for all groups are: 
                     3-Good
                     2-Excellent
                     1-Superior
  • Pluses and minuses can be given to any group at the judge’s discretion
  • For Band and Orchestra:
  • a) Your judge will award your rating and trophy immediately following the clinic with your ensemble. This is part of your 30 minutes in the venue.

    b) Judges may award one "Best in Class" in each of the following categories: Beginners, Non Varsity, Varsity and / or Specialty Ensemble each day. There must be a minimum of 3 participating ensembles in any category for an outstanding award to be given during your festival.  8:00-1:00 & 2:00 - 7:00 Festivals will be combined for awards.

    c) Judges may award one Grand Champion each day to either Beginners, Non Varsity, Varsity or Specialty Ensemble. 8:00-1:00 & 2:00-7:00 Festivals will be combine for awards.

    e) The judges decision is final and they have the right to determine if an award is given in any category.
  • For Choir:
    • Open Division: The standard division.  Choirs are held to an average, standard level. However the clinic and the trophies are the same.  Choirs in the open division are not eligible for the Runner Up or Grand Champion of the day.
    • Invitational Division: Designed for directors who would like to participate in a higher level of competition with a slightly higher expectation.  Choirs in the Invitational Division are eligible for Runner Up and Grand Champion of the day.
  • a) Your judge will award a rating and trophy in both Open and Invitational Categories immediately following the clinic with your ensemble. This is part of your 20 minutes in the venue.

    b) Judges may award Outstanding Awards only to those who entered in the more competitive "Invitational Category.” If you care to change categories - email me.

    c) Judges may award one Grand Champion and one Runner Up to Grand Champion.  8:00-1:00 & 2:00 - 7:00 Festivals will be combine for final awards. There must be a minimum of 3 choirs in the Invitational Category for an outstanding award to be considered. 

    e) The judges decision is final and they have the right to determine if an award is given in any category.​
  • Your performance time DOES NOT effect eligibility for special awards. All awards will be posted on this website within two days of your performance. Directors or a representative are responsible for picking up outstanding trophies form the park.
 
  • Literature:
    • Bands and orchestras may perform any 2 or 3 songs they wish.  We ask that you limit your performance to 10-12 minutes.
    • Choirs may perform any 2 songs they wish.  We ask that you limit your performance to 6-8 minutes.  Please download any prerecorded music to your device directly.  There is no internet access in the performance site, however we will have cables available to use to plug in equipment. We no longer provide CD players or computers for zip drives.
